New Delhi, Oct.26: India has recorded 12,428 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, down 13.1% from yesterday. This is, however, the smallest daily increase in Covid-19 instances since March.
India recorded 13,596 new Covid-19 cases on October 18, the lowest daily rise in incidence in 230 days.
According to figures issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare early on Tuesday, the country’s overall caseload has now risen to 3,42,02,202.
In the previous 24 hours, 356 deaths have been reported in the country, bringing the total death toll to 4,55,068.
The recovery rate in India is now at 98.19 percent.
Kerala leads the way with 6,664 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 1,112, Maharashtra with 889 cases, West Bengal with 805 cases, and Mizoram with 790 cases.
These five states account for 82.56 percent of all new cases, with Kerala alone accounting for 53.62 percent of all new cases.
Maximum casualties were reported in Kerala (281), followed by Tamil Nadu with 14 daily deaths.
In the last 24 hours, 15,951 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,35,83,318 across the country. There are 1,63,816 active cases in India. Active cases have decreased by 3,879% in the last 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, India has administered a total of 64,75,733 doses, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,02,94,01,119. A total of 11,31,826 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
