New Delhi, Oct.29: India has recorded 14,348 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours,, down 11.2 percent from yesterday. With a new increase of almost 14,000 cases, the country’s overall caseload now stands at 3,42,46,157.
In the last 24 hours, 805 people have died as a result of the virus. With this, the country’s death toll reached 4,57,191.
The recovery rate in India is now at 98.19 percent.
Kerala had the most cases with 7,738, followed by Maharashtra with 1,418, Tamil Nadu with 1,061 cases, West Bengal with 990 cases, and Mizoram with 592.
The top five states are responsible for 82.23 percent of new Covid-19 cases, with Kerala alone accounting for 53.93 percent.
Kerala had the most casualties (708), followed by Maharashtra with 36 daily deaths.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 13,198 individuals have recovered from the virus, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,36,27,632 across the country.
The number of active cases in India is 1,61,334. Active cases have increased by 345 in the last 24 hours.
India has administered a total of 74,33,392 doses in past 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses administered to 1,04,82,00,966.
In the previous 24 hours, a total of 12,84,552 samples were tested.
