New Delhi, Feb 25: India reported 13,166 new Covid-19 cases and 302 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the health ministry on Friday. The number of active cases fell from 1.48 lakh to 1.34 lakh (1,34,235), accounting for 0.31 percent of all cases.
While the daily positivity rate increased slightly from 1.22 percent on Thursday to 1.28 percent on Friday, the weekly positivity rate fell from 1.60 percent to 1.48 percent.
According to data provided by the Union Health Ministry, the country had 26,988 recoveries. The overall recovery rate was 98.49%. Meanwhile, cases have been declining across the cities.
According to the Union Health Ministry, more than 28 lakh vaccination doses were delivered until 7 p.m. on Thursday. Over 1.3 lakh of them were precautionary third doses given to priority categories.
