New Delhi, June 23: India reported 13,313 new cases of Covid-19 and 38 fatalities in the 24 hours ended at 8 am on Thursday. According to data supplied by the Ministry of Health, the number of new cases increased from the roughly 12,000 new cases that were reported the day before, while the daily positive rate decreased from 3.94 to 2.03 percent. There were 83,990 active cases nationwide.
On Wednesday, Delhi reported 928 new cases of COVID-19 (the fewest since June 13) and 3 pandemic-related fatalities. In Delhi, there are 5,054 open cases, and the city’s positive rate is 7.08 percent. In the last 24 hours, 26,453 people in the nation’s capital received vaccinations.
At this time, 5,24,941 people have died nationwide. The first COVID pandemic-related mortality in India was recorded in March 2020. On June 23, a daily positivity rate of 2.03% was noted.
Meanwhile, 85,94,93,387 samples had been examined for COVID-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Wednesday, 6,56,410 of these samples were examined.
