New Delhi, July 13: In the past 24 hours, 16,906 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in India, which is 24.2% more than yesterday. The number of cases has increased to 4,36,69,850 as a result of the new cases.
Tuesday saw a 1,414 increase in active cases, bringing the total to 1,32,457. There have been 45 reported fatalities across the nation in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 5,25,519 deaths.
In the previous 24 hours, the recovery rate was 98.49%.
The five states with themost number of cases in the past 24 hours were West Bengal (2,659), Maharashtra (2,435), Tamil Nadu (2,280), Kerala (2,211), and Karnataka (891), according to data released on Tuesday.
These five states accounted for over 61.97 percent of the new cases, with West Bengal alone accounting for 15.73 percent of the new cases in the country.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, India administered a total of 11,15,068 Coivd 19 vaccine doses, bringing the overall number of doses administered to 1,99,12,79,010. In addition to this 4,59,302 samples in total were tested in the last 24 hours.
