New Delhi, Jan 14: India reported 2,64,202 new COVIDD-19 cases in last 24 hours, 6.7% higher than yesterday. The daily positivity rate rises to 14.78% from 13.11%, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 11.83 per cent, according to the ministry.
With this, the active cases now stands at 12,72,073 , as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Friday. The country also recorded 1,09,345 recoveries in last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,48,24,706. The recovery rate is currently at 95.20%.
India also reported 265 fresh Omicron cases, taking the total tally of such cases in the country to 5,753, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, the country so far under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive has exceeded 155.39 crore vaccine doses.
