New Delhi, Dec 13: Indian and Chinese troops clashed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh on December 9. 200 Chinese soldiers are said to have been part in the attack and were armed with spiked clubs and sticks.

The conflict resulted in injuries for both sides, but no one was killed, as far as is known. However, sources told the news agency PTI that the number of hurt soldiers on the Chinese side would increase.

Jawans from the Indian Army reportedly prevented more than 300 Chinese soldiers from climbing the 17,000-foot summit. Snow has now covered the area. Chinese troops attempted to destroy an Indian station, but the Indian side was able to stop them.

Right away, all participants left the area.

After learning of the conflict, the Congress party criticised the government at the centre. The party asked the administration to ‘explain’ in a ‘stern tone’ to Beijing.
