Ujjain: Ahead of the decisive third ODI between India and New Zealand in Indore, star cricketer Virat Kohli, spinner Kuldeep Yadav and coach T Dilip visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to seek blessings on Saturday.
Participation in Bhasma Aarti and Temple Honors
Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and T Dilip took part in the sacred Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakal temple. The Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee also felicitated Virat Kohli during the visit. Kuldeep Yadav described the experience as deeply spiritual, saying that visiting Lord Mahakal always brings peace and positivity, and that the team felt blessed.
Series Level Ahead of Decider in Indore
The three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand is currently tied 1-1. India won the first match in Vadodara on January 11 by four wickets, while New Zealand bounced back with a seven-wicket win in Rajkot on January 14 under the leadership of Michael Bracewell, despite missing several senior players.
All Eyes on Final ODI at Holkar Stadium
The series-deciding third ODI will be played on Sunday at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. With both teams having won one match each, the encounter is expected to be highly competitive and closely fought.
Kohli’s Record-Breaking Performance
In the opening ODI, Virat Kohli scored a brilliant 93-run innings and achieved multiple milestones. He became the fastest player to complete 28,000 international runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record, and also overtook Kumar Sangakkara to become the second-highest run-scorer in international cricket history.
