Ranchi, April 9: A tenth-grade USA student Shresht Rawat reached out to the needy villagers of Nagri Chama in Jharkhand state and donated to them some edible and daily need items. To reach out to these people he availed a helping hand from his grandmother Mangla Kumari who lives in India and a Greece-based organisation Amurtel which works for the betterment of people’s life quality worldwide.

Shresht is a USA-based tenth-grade student and lives in the state of Pennysylvania in Pittsburgh city. He got enrolled in International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). For his MYP project he decided to reach out to the underprivileged people in India and endeavoured to collect some donations for them.

In his spare time during the weekends he reached out to the masses for donations for this noble cause and fruitfully, he was able to collect $690 which makes Rs 58,650. He utilized this money to donate 100 mosquito nets and food items to needy people in the state of Jharkhand.
