New Delhi, June 28: After the World T20 in Australia, India will tour New Zealand for a white-ball series consisting of three T20Is and as many ODIs, according to New Zealand Cricket (NZC).
The series will run from November 18 to November 30, and New Zealand will visit India again in January of the following year for a white-ball series.
“India will arrive in New Zealand at the conclusion of the world cup to play the BLACKCAPS in three T20s at Wellington, Tauranga and Napier, and three ODIs at Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch,” NZC said in a release.
Apart from three T20Is and as many ODIs at the Old Blighty, India will play a postponed one-off fifth Test against England starting on Friday.
In the lead-up to the T20 World Cup, India will then tour the West Indies for a white-ball series in July-August that will include three ODIs and five T20Is.
New Zealand will also play a day-night Test match against England as part of a jam-packed international season, and six teams will tour the nation in the summer of 2022–2023. Along with India, the other touring teams are Bangladesh women, Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka men.
The first day-night Test to be played in New Zealand since the BLACKCAPS overcame the same opposition by an innings at Eden Park in 2018 is England’s series opener at Bay Oval, which begins on February 16.
The New Zealand women’s team will host Bangladesh in T20 and ODI series before leaving in January for South Africa, where they will compete in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, after competing at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and returning from their tour of the West Indies.
