New Delhi, Mar 5: India has seen 5,921 new instances of the novel coronavirus, including 289 deaths as a result of the infection in the last 24 hours.
According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday (March 5), the country experienced a total of 11,651 discharges in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total recovery rate to roughly 98.65% and total recoveries to 4,23,78,721.
According to ministry data released today, the overall number of active Covid-19 cases in India has decreased to 63,878 (0.15 percent).
The country’s total death toll today stands at 5,14,878. The first death from the Covid epidemic was recorded in India in March 2020.
Today’s daily positivity rate is 0.63 percent.
Up till March 4, 77,19,14,261 samples had been examined for Covid-19, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). On Friday, 9,40,905 of these samples were analysed.
