New Delhi: Passengers flying with IndiGo airlines on October 5 may face delays at airports across India as the airline experiences a technical glitch affecting its website and booking systems. IndiGo has warned that longer queues and slower check-ins are likely as the airline deals with a “temporary system slowdown.”

In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), IndiGo said, “#6ETravelAdvisory: We are currently experiencing a temporary system slowdown across our network, affecting our website and booking system. As a result, customers may face increased wait times, including slower check-ins and longer queues at the airport.”

IndiGo Working to Resolve the Glitch

IndiGo assured passengers that its team is working diligently to fix the technical issue and return to normal operations as quickly as possible. “Our airport team is available and fully dedicated to assisting everyone and ensuring a smooth journey. Be assured, we are working diligently to restore stability and normalcy as quickly as possible,” the airline said.

IndiGo also expressed regret for the inconvenience caused, thanking passengers for their patience during the disruption.

Recent Technical Glitches at IndiGo

This technical slowdown comes just two weeks after an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Doha was delayed for over 18 hours due to a technical issue. Passengers waited inside the aircraft for more than four hours before the flight finally took off around 9:45 pm.

A few days prior to that incident, passengers on a Delhi-Varanasi IndiGo flight faced discomfort due to malfunctioning air conditioning, leading to chaotic conditions onboard. IndiGo later issued an apology, stating, “We extend our apologies for the inconvenience experienced on flight 6E 2235 operating from Delhi to Varanasi on September 5, 2024.”

As IndiGo works to resolve the current glitch, passengers are advised to expect delays and follow updates from the airline.
