Ramgarh, May 14: A deer was found in injured condition at Kurse village of Bhadani Nagar OP area of the district on Sunday. The deer was caught by the local people and handed over to the forest department. People said that the deer strayed from the forest and came to the village. It got injured by getting trapped in the wire mesh planted on the edge of the field.
The deer was pulled out with the help of the local people. Its information was given to the Forest Department, after which the Forest Department team reached the spot and the deer was taken away.
With the onset of summer, wild animals have started moving towards the village in search of water. In this sequence, a Kotra deer also died after falling into a well in the Gram Panchayat of Gola block on May 8. The villagers had informed the forest department about this. The villagers had said that the deer was trying to escape towards the forest by scaling the wall. The deer fell into the well as the well was adjacent to the wall.
Wild animals are wandering due to water shortage. Many areas of Ramgarh district are covered with forests and many types of wild animals can be seen here. But as soon as the summer starts, the wild animals have to wander here and there for water.
