International Yoga Day celebrated at Tata Steel Jharia Division

Dhanbad, June 21: International Yoga Day was celebrated at Tata Steel Jharia Division today in the morning at the Digwadih Guest House.

Barun Kumar Banerjee, head of safety, Jharia Division conducted the yoga session. The session included different Yoga asanas, exercises and pranayama. He also emphasised the importance of Yoga to all the participants and urged them to make Yoga an integral part of their life.

The session was attended by Sanjay Rajoria, general manager, Jharia Division, Sunita Rajoria, Narendra Kumar Gupta, chief Jamadoba group, Jharia Division, Col. Bhawani Singh Nirwan, head administration, officers and their spouses, cadets from the feeder centres and people from the community.

The Yoga session was organised by Mahendra Singh, manager of HRBP, Jharia Division, in collaboration with Tata Steel Foundation.

International Yoga Day was also observed at Bhelatand Sijua.

The yoga session was conducted by Yashoda Devi, Mukhiya, Kanchanpur Panchayat cum a certified Yoga trainer from Patanjali Yogpeeth.

The session started with OM chanting with Gayatri Mantra, followed by asanas including Pranayam, Bhadrika, Anulom Vilom, Kapal Bharti, Yogic Jogging, Tadasan, Vrikshsan, Garudasan, Surya Namaskar, and Shanti Path.

The session was attended by  300 numbers from different age groups.

Bipin Singh Choudhary, manager community, Tata Steel Foundation, Sijua Group, coordinated the program.
