Ranchi, June 12: The internet services has been resumed in Ranchi on Sunday. Notably, the district administration suspended the internet services on June 10 after the violent protest over the controversial remarks by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.
Two persons were killed and 24 injured in the incident. Section 144 CrPC was enforced in 12 PS areas of Ranchi. The police fired in the air to disperse a gathering that pelted stones, injuring Ranchi SSP Surendra Jha, another officer, and a policeman. Jha suffered a concussion after a stone hit the helmet he was wearing. At present, situation is under control.
