Daltonganj, Dec 21: In a heartwarming move, Palamu SP Chandan Kr Sinha made the widows of the slain cops the ‘chief guests’ of the grand finale at the interstate football tournament.

The final match was between the teams of Bokaro and Jamshedpur, played on Tuesday in the police line ground, Daltonganj.

The widows of the slain cops went to the ground and wished both the teams luck. The jam-packed stadium burst into emotional feelings following widows donning the role of the chief guests.

This happens after the announcers requested the chairman of the tournament, SP Palamu Chandan kr Sinha to reach both the teams in the capacity of the chief guest, who immediately came on the mike announcing that widows of the slain cops would be the chief guests in today’s grand finale match.

Following this announcement of the SP, football tournament officials ran out in the gallery where widows of the slain cops were seated and asked them to reach both the teams.

Secretary of the tournament M K Lali got this done in no time. Both the teams hailed the widows in a very controlled manner.

The decision of the SP making widows of the martyred cops as chief guests won him loud applause from the entire pavilion in the police line Daltonganj.
