Ranchi, Aug. 21: Delhi Public School Ranchi today held its Investiture Ceremony for the session 2023-24 of both the Primary and Secondary wings with great pomp and grandeur, ushering in a new era of leadership and responsibility within the school community.
The ceremony took place at the Vivekananda Auditorium, where distinguished guests, teachers and students gathered to witness the formal appointment of the newly elected student council members. The occasion was presided over by Prabhat Kumar, IG (Provision).
The programme progressed with the newly designated School Appointees and House Appointees of both Primary and Secondary wings accepting their badges and sashes of privilege with a promise of allegiance.
Shivangi Kumar (Head Girl), Abdullah Rahmani (Head Boy), Vanya Kant (Head Girl, Primary Wing) and Kanishk Goswami (Head Boy, Primary Wing) of DPS Ranchi, then acknowledged their duty and authority by upholding the prestigious School Flag handed over to them by the revered Chief Guest and the Principal.
The Student Council of DPS Ranchi was ready then to take the oath of office and responsibility. The newly appointed members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to work tirelessly toward the betterment of the school and its students. They shared their vision for fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. It was followed by the energetic rendition of the school song “March DPS March”.
The chief guest for the occasion, Prabhat Kumar, emphasized the significance of leadership in nurturing a sense of discipline, teamwork and integrity among students. He said, “The student council is the nerve center of the institution. It is up to you, to ensure that the varied activities offered on the campus are adopted by as many students as possible, and everyone feels welcome”. He appreciated the dynamic atmosphere of the school and said that the opportunities and exposure provided to the students by the school made their personalities wholesome.
Addressing the gathering of the young leaders from DPS Ranchi, Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, asserted that he had firm faith in their capabilities of carrying their school to the zenith of glory. In his address, he highlighted the importance of leadership and urged the student council members to uphold the school’s values and serve as role models for their peers.
