The 53rd match of IPL will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 7 October at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This is the last league match of both the teams. Two matches are to be played in IPL on 7 October and the clash to be held in the afternoon will be between these two teams. Chennai (CSK), captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has reached the play-offs, but they have lost both their previous matches. In this match, CSK will hope to bounce back from back-to-back defeats they suffered recently. Chennai has 18 points from 13 matches, if they win this match against Punjab they will once again reach to the top of the points table.

PBKS on the other side are almost out of the play-offs. Punjab has 10 points from 13 matches. In such a situation, they would like to end the tournament on a good note by winning the last league match. The team’s openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have done well with the bat this season, but the team’s middle order flopped throughout the season. Due to the flop show of the middle order, Punjab has to face defeat in many matches. Captain KL Rahul has scored 528 runs in 12 matches. At the same time, Mayank’s bat has scored 429 runs in 11 matches this season.

In IPL 2021, CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina have been completely flop with the bat. Raina has played 12 matches this season and only 160 runs have come off his bat. He was also dropped from the playing XI in the match against Delhi. At the same time, Dhoni has played 13 matches in this season and only 84 runs have come off his bat. Both the players would like to recover their lost form before the play-offs. But, CSK opener Rituraj Gaikwad is in amazing form in IPL 2021. He has played 13 matches in this season and has scored 521 runs with his bat. He also scored a brilliant century against Rajasthan.

On the other hand, if we talk about Jadeja, then he is doing amazing this season with both bat and ball. He has scored 212 runs in 13 matches, along with taking 10 wickets. For Chennai, fast bowler Shardul Thakur has also performed brilliantly in the second phase of IPL. In this season he has taken 15 wickets in 13 matches.

In such a situation, Dhoni and company would like to return to the track of victory after two defeats in this match but this match is a fight for honor for Punjab.
