Mumbai, March 23: For the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared on Wednesday that 25% of stadium capacity will be allowed.

The IPL 2022 will be held in Maharashtra, with 55 league matches taking place over three venues in Mumbai and 15 matches taking place in Pune.

On March 26th, IPL 2022 will resume with the Chennai Super Kings taking on the Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium. The 15th edition of the IPL will welcome fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, so this match will be historic.

At the most anticipated cricket tournament of all time, ardent cricket fans will witness nail-biting matches while rooting on their favourite players. Fans can purchase tickets for the league phase of the tournament on the official website beginning March 23rd at 12 p.m.

According to COVID-19 protocols, the matches will be played in stadiums in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune with a 25% audience occupancy rate. Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches apiece, while Brabourne and MCA International Stadium in Pune will host 15 matches each.
