Mumbai, March 27: The Delhi Capitals will face the Mumbai Indians, at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, in the second game of the TATA IPL 2022. The Mumbai Indians have won five IPL titles so far, while the Delhi Capitals have yet to win their first.

Last year, the Delhi Capitals came near to winning their first title, but were defeated by KKR in the crucial Qualifier 2. The Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, failed to make the playoffs previous season due to their NRR. The two squads have seen a lot of changes, as well as a few notable retentions.

This season, Rishabh Pant and Rohit Sharma will continue to head their respective teams. Notably Ishan Kishan, the most expensive purchase in the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions, will be playing for Mumbai.

In addition to the fresh talent, they have the expertise of Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah. The Capitals will be without David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Anrich Nortje for the first several games. They do, however, have a youthful and promising roster, as they do every year. Some of the key players for them this season include Prithvi Shaw, Shardul Thakur, and Axar Patel. They will be one of the most fearsome sides in the tournament once they have their complete lineup.

In the DC squad, Yash Dhull and Vicky Ostwal are two U-19 players to keep an eye on.

Both teams have met 30 times, with the Mumbai Indians winning 16 games and the Delhi Capitals taking 12 of them. With both clubs boasting a slew of prominent names in their ranks, another thriller is expected.

Taking about the pitch, the ground at Brabourne Stadium favours both spinners and batsmen, with the dew factor playing a role late in the game. The batsmen are anticipated to be enthralled right away by the short boundaries and fast outfield.

Probable XIs:

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Chetan Sakariya, Khaleel Ahmed

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Tilak Varma, Ramandeep Singh, Tim David, Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams, Jaydev Unadkat, Riley Meredith, Jasprit Bumrah, Tymal Mills
