IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav tourist train embarks on ‘Jyotirlinga Yatra’ on May 20

Ranchi, April 4: IRCTC, Kolkata today announced the inaugural run of Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist train from West Bengal—Jyotirlinga Yatra on May 20. The special tourist train shall cover 5 Jyotirlingas—Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Somnath, Nageshwar and Trimbakeshwar along with Statue of Unity, Shirdi Sai Baba and Shani Shingnapur. The train will commence the spiritual journey from Kolkata station and will continue the pilgrim experience for 11 nights and 12 days.

Boarding and deboarding stations include Bandel Junction, Bardhman, Bolpur, Shantiniketan, Rampur Haat, Pankur, Sahibganj Junction, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur Junction, Kiul, Barauni, Samastipur Junction, Muzaffarpur Junction, Hajipur Junction, Patliputra, Ara, Buzar, Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, Prayagraj Cheoki .

Chief supervisor of IRCTC Jyoti Kumari informed this in a press conference organised at Ranchi Railway Station.

The package has been classified into three categories—Economy (SL Class) with 315 seats, Standard (3AC) with 297 seats and Comfort (2AC) with 44 seats. Economy class includes accommodation/wash and change in Non-AC budget hotels whereas standard and comfort category involves accommodation/wash and change in AC Hotels. The transportation shall be by Non-AC buses for both economy and standard class and AC buses shall be applicable only for comfort class.

Standard vegetarian menu shall be followed for all the classes during the entire trip. Apart from these services, the train will have professional tour escorts, housekeeping staff, unarmed security, surveillance cameras, PA system and travel insurance for the safety and security of all passengers.

All these services will be provided at an affordable cost of Rs 20,060 per passenger (PP) (economy), Rs 31800 pp (standard), Rs 41600 pp (comfort).

Indian Railway is offering approximately 33 percent concessions for promotion of rail tourism under Bharat Gaurav Train scheme. The above price is inclusive of the concession. Those booking the package directly through IRCTC website will also have the facility of EMI through Paytm, Rozgar Pay and Bajaj Finance.
