Ranchi: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari launched a sharp attack on Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and Ranchi MLA C.P. Singh, mocking them for riding motorbikes across Ranchi’s new flyovers in a showy PR move.
“18 years in power, not a single decent flyover”: Irfan’s jibe
Taking to social media, Dr. Ansari ridiculed the BJP leaders for “racing bikes with cameras” and attempting to take credit for infrastructure that, according to him, was never prioritized during their long tenure in power. “Those who couldn’t build a proper flyover in 18 years are now riding over them as if they are personal trophies,” he wrote.
He added, “When we laid the first brick for development, they burnt our effigies. When we worked for the people, they spread rumours. Now that the flyovers are ready and inaugurated, they’re revving bikes and showing off. Our hard work, their show-off!”
“BJP leaders are masters of credit politics”
Dr. Ansari claimed that many projects initiated by the current Mahagathbandhan government under CM Hemant Soren were obstructed or delayed by previous BJP regimes. He alleged that now, after years of neglect, BJP leaders are trying to bask in the glory of the completed projects.
“These flyovers were dreamt, planned, and executed under our government. BJP is now active only in politics of appearances,” he said.
“Jharkhand’s transformation goes beyond flyovers”
The minister emphasized that development in Jharkhand is not just infrastructural but ideological as well. “This transformation is rooted in CM Hemant Soren’s vision, commitment, and willpower,” he said.
A final dig: “We’re ready with helmets”
In a tongue-in-cheek remark, Dr. Ansari said BJP leaders should look beneath the height of flyovers too. “Down here stands the health department. We’re alert—because we know their helmet might be loose on that fast bike. But don’t worry, Dr. Irfan Ansari is standing below, ready to shield the people from every lie and gimmick,” he concluded.
