Dhanbad, Sept 29: Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Ansari’s (Congress) supporters have launched a social media campaign against Congress Bermo MLA Jaymangal Singh alias Anup Singh alleging that he conspired to trap Ansari in the cash recovery scam.
The supporters of Dr Irfan Ansari on Thursday morning posted a video on social media saying that the Bermo MLA conspired to trap him (Dr Irfan) and that Goddess Durga will never forgive him for this sin.
In the video, the supporters were seen saying that Anup Singh is dishonest by birth while Dr Irfan Ansari is the messiah of mass in Jamtara. They alleged that Bermo MLA’s conspiracy has deprived thousands of poor people who receive Saree and Dhoti from Jamtara MLA every year.
Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Anisari along with two MLAs other Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Vixel Kongari was caught with Rs 49 lakh cash on July 30. Ansari claimed that he was going to Kolkata to purchase Saree-Dhoti which he distributes every year in Jamtara among the tribal and non-tribal people.
Meanwhile, in absence of Dr Irfan Ansari, his father and former MP Furkan Ansari on Wednesday distributed Saree and Dhoti among many people in Jamtara.
“People are disappointed by the absence of Dr Ansari on such occasion in Jamtara and we believe he would have given Saree and Dhoti to more people had Bermo MLA not planted a conspiracy against him,” said one of the supporters in said video.
