Daltonganj, July 17: CPI-ML MLA from Bihar’s Arrah district, Manoj Manzil on Sunday said, “It is boot, bullet and bulldozer raj all over the country, where the right to speak is gagged and where communal hatred has overtaken the serious issues like job, price rise, etc that concern a common man.”
The MLA was notably in the Daltonganj circuit house when he said this while talking to the media. The MLA was visiting Daltonganj to take stock of the preparations for the national conference of the Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA) due on September 10 and 11 here.
Manzil further said there is an atmosphere of fear in the country. Hate is raging, communities have been pitted against each other, and the communal divide is getting wider every day. Atrocities are committed most rampantly against the dalits and harijans and minorities are the prime targets.
The MLA said the Modi government has plundered the constitution and the democracy and has brought in rule by force not rule by law. “The whims and fancy of this government is reigning supreme,” he added.
He further said, “People continue to lose jobs. The railways are out to end group C and D jobs. Everything is at auction like the airport, BHEL, MTNL, BSNL etc. There is no scope for employment. The rate of unemployment is at an all-time high. So is the price rise.”
MLA Manzil conceded that the left parties are in need of unity and consensus among all. The BJP calls the shots because the opposition is not putting up a united fight and is in disarray.
Manzil further said that his party will support Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election to be held on July 18. He said that his party doesn’t want India to have a ‘Mr Yes President’ but a president that has guts.
He further talked of the arrest of Teesta Setalvad, Md Jubair, Omar Khalid, dismissed IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt and many others describing their arrests as a price for them speaking up.
Unlike the Congress party whose stand on the Agnipath scheme is quite mellowed now, the CPI ML is very aggressive and belligerent as its MLA Manoj Manzil said the present Modi government is all out to demean our proud Indian Army.
A senior CPI ML Liberation leader Divya Bhagat along with others accompanied Manzil. Another cadre said, “We are moving in the rural areas motivating youths to rise against the politics of communalism and hatred in the country.”
