Jamshedpur: Corporate honcho releases Odiya calendar ‘Singhbhum Panjika’

Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Odiya calendar ‘Singhbhum Panjika’ was released by RSB International’s managing director SK Behera at his corporate office premises in Adityapur on Friday. 

Behera said the Singhbhum Panjika which is followed and honoured by almost every Odiya household in the twin districts of Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan district has made its significance felt in several cities and towns in neighbouring Odisha. 

On this occasion, prominent literary figure Badal Bhuyan who compiled the calender was present. 

Speaking on the occasion, Badal Bhuyan said that the Singhbhum Panjika has been associated with the spiritual and social life of lakhs of people belonging to the Odiya community for the past 30 years. 

“For making the calender popular, we do make a free distribution of it in Singhbhum and also places like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Baripada, Rairangpur, Keonjhar and other parts of the neighbouring Odisha state, ” said Bhuyan. 

Others who were present on the occasion include B Sambhav, Devi Prashad Behera, Suryakant Mallick, Umesh Parija, Shibanand Sahoo and Prakash Biswal.
