Jamshedpur, Oct 15: The Ulidih police of Jamshedpur has initiated an anti-drug campaign. On Saturday evening, the police conducted a raid on an empty piece of land in Khadia Basti on Shankosai Road and apprehended four individuals involved in the buying and selling of narcotics.
The arrested accused include Shubham Tubid, resident of Shankosai Road No. 5, Chandramani Pandey alias Vicky Pandey, Ajay Kumar Sharma and Chhotu Sharma.
During the operation, the police confiscated brown sugar, marijuana, and cash from the suspects.
The police received confidential information that some youths in the area were involved in the drug trade. Acting on this information, the police promptly carried out the raid.
As the raid was underway, individuals tried to flee in all directions, but the police apprehended all of them. On Sunday, the police sent all of them to jail.
