Jamshedpur, July 27: It was time to welcome the freshers.
The Allied Health Sciences Department of Manipal Tata Medical College ( MTMC ) conducted an orientation program for the 2023-24 batch.
About 45 students took part in the orientation program organised on the college campus.
The function began with an inaugural ceremony by P. Yashwanth Kumar, Head of Allied Health Program, as the key speaker.
The function was attended by the chief guest, Dr G Pradeep Kumar, Dean of Manipal Tata Medical College, and the guest of honour was Dr Rajiva Dwivedi, Director of Academic Administration and Quality.
Dr Maheshwar Prasad, Head of Outreach at MTMC and others were also present.
In his address, Dr Rajiva Dwivedi underscored the college’s commitment to nurturing competent and empathetic allied health professionals.
He emphasized the impact these professionals have on the healthcare sector and encouraged the students to adopt a passion for lifelong learning and research.
Dr G Pradeep Kumar, the college’s Dean, motivated the new students to strive for excellence in their chosen fields and to make a positive difference in the lives of the patients they will serve.
The Orientation Day’s agenda featured sessions by distinguished guests, who provided valuable insights into the state-of-the-art facilities, academic and examination guidelines, code of conduct, and other student affairs. The aim was to familiarize the students with the array of resources available to support their educational journey.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, delivered by Dr Maheshwar Prasad, Head of Outreach at MTMC and former civil surgeon of East Singhbhum.
