I have to maintain law and order in the city and I will do whatsoever way is deemed fit fir a situation,” said Vijay Shankar while talking to lagatar24.com.

The city SP who himself was present during the demolition drive said that he had got it verified from the office of the Dhalbhum sub-divisional office that the land on which the car-washing center and hardware shop beside another shop were set up was encroached upon.

The senior police officer pointed out that they came to know about unauthorised shops and car-washing center from the mother of the assault victim Kittu Singh who is struggling financially his life at the Tata Main Hospital.

Vijay Shankar said the remaining shop set up by Rajkumar Singh will also be razed soon, kin of the accused concerned have already been intimated.
