Jamshedpur, Jan 12: Tatanagar railway station will soon get a restaurant-on-wheel, bringing the problem of gulping down quality food before embarking upon a journey to an end.
All nitty-gritty for starting the restaurant has already been finalised and it is just a matter of time before the eatery will be open to the public.
The upcoming restaurant-on-wheels is being set up in an abandoned railway bogie at a convenient place on the Tatanagar station. The bogie is modified and decorated to make it suitable for a state-of-the-art eatery.
Revealing the forthcoming facility, senior divisional commercial manager, Chakradharpur, Manish Pathak said a private agency has entered into an agreement with the railway for setting up the restaurant-on-wheels at the Tatanagar station.
Pathak under whose jurisdiction Tatanagar falls said that the restaurant will get functional within the next three months.
“The proposed restaurant-on-wheels be serving food items that are found at any standard restaurant in the steel city. In terms of price factor also, the restaurant will have to be people-friendly,” the senior DCM said while talking to lagatar24.com.
Pathak informed that similar restaurants will be set up at Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Rourkela and also at the Adityapur railway station soon.
