Ranchi: In a swift and serious response to a security breach, Ranchi Police have arrested a man accused of issuing death threats to Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. Acting on the directions of DIG and SSP Chandan Sinha, a special team was formed to trace and arrest the suspect.

Threat Issued Under Influence of Alcohol

According to initial reports, the accused allegedly called Sanjay Seth while intoxicated and threatened to kill him. The caller claimed to have already murdered several people and declared the minister to be his next target. He later followed up the threat with a text message that read, “You will be shot.”

Rapid Response by Law Enforcement

Immediately after receiving the threat, Minister Sanjay Seth alerted both Ranchi and Delhi Police. The Ranchi police acted promptly, and under SSP Sinha’s leadership, the accused was swiftly tracked and taken into custody.

Known History of Abusive Calls

Police sources revealed that the man often made threatening calls while intoxicated. However, this is the first time he directly targeted a high-profile public figure, escalating the severity of the situation.

Police to Address Media Soon

Ranchi Police have confirmed they will soon hold a press conference to disclose full details of the case, including the identity of the accused and the possible motive behind the threat.

This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the security of public officials and the misuse of mobile communications for criminal intimidation. The investigation is ongoing.
