Jamshedpur, Jan 14: Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) today gifted Johar Haat to the citizens of Jamshedpur. It is a space dedicated to bringing together the city and beyond in celebration of the best of art, craft, cuisine and talent from tribes across India.

The haat will convene for a week every month at Prakriti Vihar in Kadma, with artisans and chefs from different tribes in creating an immersive cultural experience which also brings economic gain and entrepreneurial experience for communities.

Each weekly haat will have live demonstrations, masterclasses, story sessions, cinema and great food complementing an array of home décor, handloom and textile, jewellery, paintings and organic products on sale.

Johar Haat was inaugurated by Chanakya Chaudhary, director, of Tata Steel Foundation. It is the first-ever ‘diversified marketplace’ for tribal craft and cuisine in Jamshedpur.
