Jamshedpur: They want to get rid of pandemics in New Year

Jamshedpur, Dec 31: The year 2021 was yet another year of happenings, surprises, and misfortunes.

 

As the year draws closer to an end, businessmen, academicians and other professionals made resolutions in their own way. Most want to get rid of the pandemic.

President of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SCCI)  Vijay  Anand Moonka prayed for good health and a pandemic-free year.

 

The senior functionary of the trade outfit wanted a trade commissioner in Jharkhand and a semi-conductor chip manufacturing unit in and around Jamshedpur.

 

Moreover, he wished for improvement in infrastructure facilities at the Parsudih-based agriculture market yard.

City SP Subhash Chandra Jat promised better law and order in Jamshedpur apart from removing traffic-related bottlenecks.

He said 2021 saw several ups and downs, especially Covid’s second wave which was disastrous.

” We will continue to ensure better law and order. At the same time we appeal to people to be a law-abiding citizen and follow the mandatory regulations including Covid protocols,” said the senior cop.

The Adityapur Small Industries Association ( ASIA ) is hopeful of resolving all its issues with

Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA), and Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board ( JSPCB ).

Santosh Khaitan, who is at the helm of affairs of the industry outfit said currently the Adityapur-based regional office of Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board is dilly- dallying in issuing consent to work which is affecting industrialisation.

 

” In the year ahead we look forward to better infrastructure facilities in Adityapur, the biggest industrial hub of the state. Massive work is required to be done for improving the road infrastructure, ” pointed out Khaitan adding that the industry outfit will try to achieve 80 per cent of its target

Professor Syed Safdar Razi, vice-chancellor of Arka Jain University Jamshedpur said as New year dawns it is time to make a  resolution.

“Since I am an academician I would try to bring excellence in the field of education. I will see and work to take Arka Jain University to newer heights. My wish for the New year is to also see peace and harmony everywhere  and a pandemic-free world, ” said Razi, who had also served as a registrar of Kolhan University.

A senior doctor of steel city Dr A K Paul emphasised on personal and family health care.

 

” The Covid situation has compelled us to focus on our personal and family’s health. Diet is an important component. One should also undergo regular health check- up, ” advised the senior doctor.

bakery chain said, ” The Covid- induced pandemic resulted in struggles for the bakery and sweets industry.  We pray and expect that 2022 comes with a positive note and gives people the freedom to celebrate all festivals and special occasions as we used to. The fear of Omicron has again started which definitely will again have impact on the sales. So we wish we as a nation overcome this variant as well.”
