Jamshedpur: Three die, one injured in bike accident at Baliguma

Jamshedpur, Feb 17: Three youths were killed as the bike they were riding on rammed into a stationary container at Baliguma on the NH-33 under MGM thana area late on Thursday night. 

A fourth pillion rider was seriously injured and is now struggling for his life at the MGM medical college hospital. 

Those killed were identified as Manjit Singh, Anish Yadav and Ankit Goswami, all residents of Mango. The surviving victim who has got his left leg broken beside grievous head injury is undergoing treatment at the medical college hospital. 

According to police, the four youths were coming from Bhilaipahadi on a bike at about 10 pm when the bike hit the stationary container from behind at Baliguma, causing all four to lie in a pool of blood on the NH. 

Some local residents rescued them and rushed them to the medical college hospital where the doctor on emergency duty declared three of the victims as brought dead. 

According to the police, none of the four had put on a helmet and was probably riding the bike at a breakneck speed. 

Manjit Singh was riding the motorcycle with the three others sitting pillion. The police said whether the mishap victims were drunk or not is being investigated.
