Jamshedpur, Jan 13: Come tomorrow and steel city residents would get a dedicated marketplace for purchasing tribal crafts and also enjoying tribal cuisines and delicacies under the same roof. Thanks to Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) for gifting the city with Johar Haat, a one-stop place for diversified tribal crafts and cuisines.
To come up at Prakriti Vihar in Kadma, is the first ever such initiative in the state. Johar Haat will convene for a week every month at Prakriti Vihar in Kadma with artisans and chefs from different tribes in creating an immersive cultural experience.
Officials said Johar Haat will be inaugurated tomorrow. The launch of the new facility was well timed as it coincides with the Makar Sankranti festival. All tribal products would be displayed at the Johar Haat at a reasonable price.
