Jamshedpur, Jan 18: The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), an umbrella body of nine unions, has given a call for a two-day bank strike on January 30 and 31. The decision for the strike was taken at a meeting of UFBU held late on Tuesday evening.
Notably, another meeting is to be held on January 20 at Andhra Bank Bistupur (near Bank of Baroda) while another meeting will be held on January 25 near Jamshedpur Eye Hospital in Sakchi.
At yesterday’s meeting, Com. KK Dubey, Ravi Shankar and Satyendra Singh kept their points, detailed views were expressed on all the burning issues in the meeting.

Moreover, at the meeting, emphasis was given to the participation of more and more comrades.
Coordinator of UFBU Com. Rintu Kumar Rajak said some of their demands include the introduction of five banking days a week, the updation of pension for past retirees, adequate recruitment in all cadres to ensure better customer service and immediate commencement of negotiations on the charter of demands for wage revision.
