Ranchi, Jan 9: A total of 552 constables, including 182 lady constables, of India Reserve Battalion-9 (IRB), Giridih received 215 days of basic training at the Jharkhand Armed Police-3 (JAP) Training Centre.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren told the trainee jawans that they have successfully completed the basic training and are ready to walk on the path of duty.
“As an integral part of the government, you have an important responsibility to perform. In such a situation, the training you have received will enable you to deal with the challenges in the times to come by making you self-confident and accountable for your responsibilities and tasks,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that after entering duty life, apart from what they have achieved in training, many challenges will come in front of them.
“Especially in the field you are going to join, there is a lot of risk along with challenges. In such a situation, your intelligence, discretion and training will matter a lot in dealing with these challenges and risks. I hope that you will be able to successfully deal with all the challenges and risks,” the CM said.
He added that they have to fulfil an important responsibility in the field of law and order and crime and extremism control.
“In such a situation, you should perform your duties with full honesty and loyalty, so that there is an atmosphere of peace, peace and harmony in the state,” he stated.
He further added that in the training centres where he got a chance to visit, he got information about the lack of infrastructure and basic facilities.
“In such a situation, the government has taken it into consideration with full seriousness. Comprehensive renovation of all police training centres will be done within the next two years. So, that the training program can be conducted in a better way in a better environment,” he said.
He also mentioned that along with the police force, the participation of women in other fields is also increasing continuously.
“Women are now walking in step with men. We see this as a strong initiative towards women empowerment and it is a pleasant message for the state and the country,” The chief minister quoted.
The Chief Minister also participated in the passing out ceremony of trainee jawans at police training centres located at Musabani, Lesliganj, Bokaro and Govindpur (Dhanbad).
He said that it is a matter of great pleasure for him and more pleasure that out of a total of 2,445 jawans who have successfully undergone basic training, 813 are women.
