Jharkhand Achieves Significant Success In Enrolling Out-Of-School And Dropout Students

Ranchi: Jharkhand has made remarkable progress in bringing out-of-school and dropout children into the mainstream education system during the 2024-25 academic session. So far, 54,130 children have been enrolled in schools, marking the state’s highest achievement in the past three years. According to the Jharkhand Education Project Council, 83.19% of the targeted 65,065 children in the state have been reconnected to education.

Steady Progress Over The Years

• 2024-25: 54,130 children enrolled

• 2023-24: 34,608 children enrolled

• 2022-23: Only 3,930 children enrolled

Efforts Toward 100% Achievement

State Program Manager Binita Tirkey expressed satisfaction with the progress, stating, “We have achieved success in most districts as per the target. The remaining children are to be enrolled by January 30. Efforts are ongoing to achieve 100% of the target this session.”
