Ranchi, Aug 1: Independent MLA Saryu Roy today moved an adjournment motion on the issue of arrest of the three legislators of Jharkhand by West Bengal police, ED notice to Press Advisor of CM and arrest of the CM representative.
“Three Members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly have been caught in Bengal with huge cash amounts. The representative of the Chief Minister of Jharkhand is in jail in the case filed by the Enforcement Directorate and his Press Advisor has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning. These incidents have tarnished the image of the state and the state government. Discussion on this subject is necessary in the interest of the state. Therefore, after adjourning the proceedings of the House, the relevant developments should be considered immediately,” the notice reads.
Earlier, during Zero Hour, Roy amid a ruckus by the BJP legislators, raised the issue of poor electricity supply in his assembly constituency.
“Electricity supply has become very poor in the settlements of Jamshedpur in East Singhbhum. Electricity comes and goes every hour. Electrical equipment installed in their homes also gets burnt. I request the government to improve the power supply in these areas and provide more power from the state load dispatch centre,” Roy said.
