Ranchi, April 23: A Jharkhand capital based voluntary organization, R.K. Mishra Foundation for Educational Empowerment, which was established two years ago as an expression of gratitude to a retired AG Office employee R.K.Mishra who passed away during the second wave of corona pandemic, announced support to those aspiring for defence jobs.

The declaration was made on the second death anniversary of Mishra, who is known for his contribution to promoting the Maithili language in Jharkhand and establishing the A.G. Co-operative Colony in Kadru.

Organization president Sandeep Mishra, who is the son of R.K. Mishra, informed about the decision to Lagatar24.com saying this was something new that the organization has planned as a tribute to the person after which the name of the organization has been kept.

“As a support, the organization has planned to offer financial support in filling the form for the entrance examination for NDA and CDS. In the beginning, it is being targeted to support 30 aspirants,” he said.

The organization is run by two daughters and the only son of R.K. Mishra. The organization helps promote education among the poor and so far, has helped 25 students. Currently, it is run by savings from the salaries of Mishra’s son and daughters.

Sandeep, on being asked under which circumstances he planned to work in the field, explained the situation.

“My father retired from the AG office in the year 2012. He was associated with DAV Kapildev Public School as a local management committee member. He helped many poor children with their admission and fees. I want to keep the legacy of my father alive and thus the idea came to my mind and my sisters supported me,” he said.

Asked to share the achievement in the two years, he said: “Although the organisation has been established with a focus on education, yet it has also helped for other causes when reached out. It recently helped a cancer patient from Ranchi who was being treated in Mumbai. Another notable contribution was made to help Jharkhand athlete Supreeti Kachchap who was struggling to buy good sports shoes for her. The organization was the first to extend its help to Supreeti which was later followed by the Jharkhand Government and Varun Gandhi.”

“The organization takes pride in helping many such students who have now made a niche for themselves in their respective fields. While someone has adopted academics as a profession, someone else is preparing for civil services. We plan to do more in this field,” he added.

Talking about his plan to support students, Sandeep Mishra said: “First in the line is online professional support for unprivileged children, like connecting experts from AI, Data Analytics, HR and many such professional fields to children who aspire to be one of them but lack guidance.”
