Jharkhand: BIT Sindri gets AAA+ rating among top engineering institutes in country

Dhanbad, Oct 13: BIT Sindri, a Jharkhand government-owned engineering college in Dhanbad, has been rated AAA+, a symbol of India’s best engineering institutes, by the prestigious organization, Careers 360 in 2023.

Careers 360 editor Maheshwar Peri while releasing the list of top-rated engineering institutes of the country in 2023, has said that after evaluating the quality of students, faculty, learning engagement, infrastructure, graduate outcomes, placements, diversity, and research output, BIT Sindri has been adjudged as a top-rated institution.

Prof (Dr) Ghanshyam, chairman of  Career Development Centre (CDC), BIT Sindri, when contacted on Friday, admitted to having received the certificate of Career 360 and said that the institution feels proud to be a top-rated institute in the country.

Careers 360 is an esteemed Educational Products and Service Company that gives ratings to engineering institutes of the country on the basis of their research and placement of students.

As per official figures, in the last session of placement (July- August) a total of 640 students of  BIT Sindri were picked up from the campus and 1000 students were offered multiple jobs (more than one).

“In the current session, we expect more than the previous session as students are being provided training in such a way that they can fulfil requirements of needy organizations,” said Prof Ghanshyam.

He highly appreciated the contribution of BIT former director Dr DK Singh (Vice-Chancellor Jharkhand University of  Technology) and present director Dr Pankaj Rai in making the institution (BIT Sindri) a top-rated engineering institute in the country.

In 2022, BIT Sindri got second position among engineering colleges in the country in the survey conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

College of Engineering  Pune ( Maharashtra) got the first position and  NMAM  Institute of Technology, Karnataka got the third position.  As per the AICTE survey, 193 students of BIT Sindri got a 5+ star rating ( the students who got more than 70% marks) while 313 students of Pune got 5+ stars.
