Ranchi, Aug.19: BJP state president Babulal Marandi today fired a salvo on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
Through a tweet, Marandi said the top post in JMM is Shibu Soren’s descendants, unlike the BJP where anyone can become a chief minister and a prime minister.
“In the BJP any person from an ordinary family can rise to the top, become the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister. But in @JmmJharkhand after Shibu Soren, the top post is for @HemantSorenJMM, his wife, his son, grandson after son…this cycle will continue. Here, there is no place left for @BasantSorenMLA and @SitaSorenMLA in this party, who asks the common workers? BJP’s fight is against this familyism…..,” Marandi’s tweet reads.

Marandi is on a 40-day Santhal Pargana mission to expose Hemant Soren’s poor governance and the latter’s involvement in corruption. This is the first big campaign being led by Marandi since he merged his party, JVM, with the BJP after the 2019 assembly election.
