Deoghar, April 25: The opposition party, BJP, blew the bugle against the Hemant Soren-led government today on public issues like the irregular supply of water and prevailing power cuts as well as rampant corruption throughout the state.
An agitation march was held in the cultural capital of the state and holy city Deoghar today. The Virodh March started from Shivlok ground and concluded at the VIP Chowk near Kachahri road.
Three MLAs and thousands of party workers participated in this march. Sarath MLA Randhir Singh, Deoghar District President of the party and Deoghar MLA Narayan Das and Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha in the capacity of the programme in charge, were seen leading the march. The march covered almost a distance of 3-4 km passing through the main chowks of the town.
During the march, the party workers were heard shouting slogans against the state government. Talking to the media, Sarath MLA Randhir Singh made several allegations against the state government.
He told that the Hemant government has been a failure to fulfil the aspiration of the common men in the state. He claimed that in the previous government led by Raghubar Das, the electricity supply was much better as the public availed electricity for almost 22 hours a day.
“But in this government, we hardly get 5 to 6 hours of electricity and at the same time, the supply of drinking water is miserable in Deoghar district,” he said.
Randhir Singh also alleged that the name of a state got maligned after the leakage of the name of Hemant Soren in the list of the mining leaseholder. He demanded CM Hemant Soren’s resignation saying if not if he does not resign, the party will ask the Governor to dismiss the government and to impose the President’s rule in the state.
District President Narayan Das echoed the same. He lamented that the ‘Gangotri’ of corruption is flowing throughout the state.
Giving the detail of the programme, Das said that on the direction given by state leadership, such agitation marches will be held district wise throughout the state until the government is uprooted by the party workers with the support of the common man of the state.
Talking to the media the Dhanbad MLA and programme incharge Raj Sinha said that agitation is being organised throughout the state for people regarding their issues like the supply of drinking water, frequent power cuts and the prevailing corruption.
He said that illegal mining of iron, coal, and sand is rampant in the state, the transfer posting industry is flourishing and nothing is being done in the interest of the common man.
Further, he said that the party has decided to hold agitation in the interest of the common man throughout the state. He also claimed that the countdown of Hemant Soren’s government has already started and that its life is very short.
