Ranchi, Nov 10: A Sikh BJP leader from Jharkhand, Gurvinder Singh Sethi, wrote a book on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj titled Guru Nanak Jeevan Aur Sandesh.
Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, Iqbal Singh Lalpura, released the book in a programme in New Delhi on Wednesday. The book has been published by the Ministry of Information Publication of the Government of India.
Lalpura expressed his pleasure saying he felt proud to release a book on the life of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj on the occasion of his 553rd Prakash Parv.
“Guru Nanak Dev Ji fought throughout his life for the right to equality, he played an important role in eradicating discrimination from the society,” he said.
Author of the book, Sethi, said that through this book he attempted to convey the entire lifetime of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj to the people in simple words. He said that the many aspects of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life have been included in the book.
On this occasion, Ajayveer Singh Lalpura, Justice Narendra Kumar Jain, Chairman National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Jappreet Singh Nabha, Sanjeev Kumar Patiala, Jaspal Singh, Former Vice Chancellor Punjabi University, Harmeet Singh Kalka Head Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Giani Ranjit Singh Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, Baljit Singh Daduwal Former President Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, were also present.
