Ranchi, May 25: Jharkhand BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash on Wednesday lodged an FIR against unknown persons spreading rumours to spoil his reputation by using his picture with the mining officer of Sahibganj Bibhuti Kumar.

He lodged the FIR against unknown persons at Argora police station in Ranchi under sections 465 and 469 of the Information Technology Act. He said that some anti-social elements through some Twitter accounts posted a morphed picture showing him along with Bibhuti Kumar. He said that some anti-social elements have dared to spoil his reputation by using his morphed picture. In the picture, Deepak Prakash and Bibhuti Kumar are seen sitting together. The picture looks like it was taken during any private occasion. But Deepak Prakash denied it and said that a morphed picture was used.

Bibhuti Kumar is among the mining officers of three districts who were summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in the money laundering case against IAS Pooja Singhal. After a week-long ‘who winks first’ game with the ED, Bibhuti Kumar finally appeared for questioning three days back and his questioning is still going on.
