Ranchi, Jan. 10: The Jharkhand cabinet on Tuesday decided to change the examination pattern for the recruitment of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs). Among the key changes of the examination pattern is that candidates will have to secure 30 out of 100 marks in Hindi as qualifying marks. Earlier, the qualifying marks were 40. However, these marks will not be added in the final result. Earlier, the General Studies paper consisted of 150 marks. Now the General Studies will have two papers each consisting 100 marks. Similarly, the interview will carry 50 marks.
The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The cabinet took 31 decisions which included a time extension given to the one-man judicial commission to submit its report regarding corruption in the appointment and promotion of staff in the Jharkhand assembly.
The government also increased the ex-gratia payment to bring the dead body of the migrant labourers to their home who die a natural death or due to any accident. The government will pay Rs. 25000 to the family of such deceased labourers.
The cabinet decided to provide free internet and Fiber to the Home facility up to Rs. 1500 to retired Chief Justices and Judges of the Jharkhand High Court.
Briefing the media about the decisions, Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that the government has decided to double the financial aid to madrasa and Sanskrit schools effective from the financial year 2022-23. It will cover 33 Sanskrit schools and 46 madrasas. Around 2000 teachers will be benefitted by this.
The government brought a regulation for the rice mills in Jharkhand. Earlier, rice mills were bound to do 30 percent of its milling work for the government. Now under the new rule, the ratio has been increased from 30 percent to 50 percent whenever required, else, the operational rights will be seized.
The cabinet gave its consent to the reappointment of AK Bapuli as director of state’s only forensic science laboratory. The cabinet gave its consent for the revised pension for judicial officials effective from January 1, 2016.
The CRPF headquarter in Jharkhand will be built at Bhusur in Ranchi for which the government will transfer 6.69 acres of land to the Union Ministry of Home on the payment of Rs. 16.36 Crore.
