Ranchi, Dec.9: The State cabinet approved grants of 183 Urdu Schools across the state, which was held up for a long time.
Cabinet co-ordination secretary Vandana Dadel informed this after the cabinet meeting saying this could be possible following approval of an amendment in government resolution taken on August 28, 2020.
Other decisions taken in the meeting, Dadel said, include Rs 1552 crore loan repayment guarantee to two banks, Bank of India and State Bank of India, for providing loan to Jharkhand Food and Civil Supply Corporation Limited to procure 8 lakh MT of paddy from farmers on minimum support price, which is Rs 2050 per quintal for normal paddy and Rs 2070 per quintal for grade-A paddy.
Apart from this, the cabinet also approved Rs 25.60crore for construction of 32.85km road in Deoghar, Rs 43.03crore for construction of 25.83km road in Bokaro, Rs 30.73core for construction of Rs 12.81 crore in Dhanbad, 120.63 crore for construction of 30km road at West Singhbhum, Rs 79.19 crore for construction of 23.95km road in Saraikela-Kharsawan, Rs. 145.30 crore for construction of 41.46km of another road in West Singhbhum.
The list of other approvals include change in examination rules of several departments in accordance with recruitment policy of the state government, National Automated Clearing House payment mode for speedy transfer of benefit directly in the account of beneficiaries and Rs 4 crore to each of the 14 selected affiliated colleges under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
Other important approvals include extension of lease of 388.68 hectare land of Hindustan Copper Limited in East Singhbhum for mining purpose, increase in court fee, change in rules related to revolving fund for pension schemes related to women, child development and social security department and sanction of 37 posts for project management units under the state finance department.
