Ranchi, March 27: The Hemant Soren cabinet today approved 44 proposals, including Rs 57.82 crore for the development of phase 2 of Jharkhand’s capital’s transport city.
Other approvals included the extension of the period for which non-government educational institutions could operate an ashram school and a residential school under the welfare department, as well as the extension of the period for which non-educational institutions could operate Eklavya Model Residential School.
Other approvals included the state bearing the burden of the seventh pay revision benefit for employees of urban local bodies, running NCC activities through the school education department rather than the sports department, including common telecom infrastructure in the Jharkhand Building Bylaws 2006, forming the Jharkhand Labour Promoter Recruitment Rules (Amendment) 2023, and forming the Jharkhand Industrial Training Service Cadre Revised Rules 2023.
Other significant approvals include spending 84 crores in all Simdega, Khunti, and Dumka block headquarters to provide internet service, the formation of Jharkhand Product Constable Service (Revised) Rules 2023 and the formation of State Service Supply Rules 2023, the purchase of 244 city buses for the Ranchi Municipal Corporation area, and the installation of automated rain gauges in 1633 panchayats and 216 blocks.
