Ranchi, Feb.3: The CID has arrested a cybercriminal who withdrew money from the bank account of an army officer.
He was identified as Ramkishan Mandal, an original resident of Bishanpur under Bengabad police station area in Giridih district. Police have recovered two checkbooks, three passbooks, four ATM cards, two mobiles, one PAN card, two kiosk cards from his possession.
He used to dupe people in the name of giving bank loan posing himself as SBI Bank staff.
The arrested accused has a criminal background. He had earlier gone to jail in 2018 on charges of robbery.
The police got information about the accused and his aide through its sources and successfully arrested him. along with many other people.
This matter came in the knowledge of police in the month of April 2021. Mandal had withdrawn Rs 3.36 lakh from the account of Army officer Sudhir Kumar.
Sudhir Kumar had made a written complaint in the Cyber ??Crime Police Station regarding the matter on 6 April 2021, after which the police investigated the matter and arrested the accused.
