Ranchi, April 21: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has condoled the martyrdom of 5 soldiers in the terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Poonch.

He tweeted that the news of the martyrdom of 5 immortal brave soldiers is very painful. “May God give peace to the souls of the brave soldiers and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this difficult time of sorrow. Hundreds of salutes to the martyrdom of the immortal brave soldiers,” the tweet reads.

On April 20, at around 3 pm, an army vehicle suddenly caught fire in Poonch. It was told that the army personnel had gone to collect vegetables and other essential items from the truck. Initially it was considered an accident. But later it became clear that it was a terrorist attack.

Of the five jawans who were martyred in the terrorist attack, four were from Punjab and one from Odisha. These include Lance Naik Debasish Baswal, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkishan Singh, Sepoy Sevak Singh and Havaldar Mandeep Singh. Lance Naik Debasish Baswal was a resident of Odisha.
