Ranchi, July 28: Chief Minister (CM) Hemant Soren has directed all district deputy commissioners (DCs) to expedite work on sports stadium construction and tourist spots’ development in their jurisdiction.
He asked that the Ranchi DC to obtain a proposal and estimate for the development of tourist destinations in forest areas from the concerned forest divisional officer, use consultants listed by the building construction department in preparing the detailed project report (DPR), and adhere to eco-tourism standards.
He instructed the DC to prepare the plan in such a way that it matched the significance of structures and natural beauty. He ordered that a suitable land for tourism development near the Getalsud Dam be delineated and made available to the land revenue department.
The CM directed the Ramgarh DC to assess the necessary facilities and needs for the comfort of tourists in Rajrappa and submit a proposal to the department after demarcating the land and obtaining the necessary clearance.
He asked the Chatra DC to assess the necessary works for the convenience of tourists at historic Itkhori and Kauleshwari and submit a proposal to the department after marking the land for the works and obtaining the necessary clearance.
The West Singhbhum DC has been directed to obtain a proposal for eco-tourism development in Saranda, Thalkobad, and Kiriburu from the concerned forest divisional officers and to provide the department with land details and necessary clearances.
The CM ordered beautification and development of Sira-Sita Dham tourist place located in Dumri, Gumla, implementation of Anjan Dham, Navratnagarh and Tanginath tourist development projects soon.
The CM while talking about tourist spots’ development asked the DCs to send proposals for the construction of stadiums in those blocks where stadiums are already approved. He directed them to prepare an estimate keeping the good standard of the stadium in mind.
He said the sent proposal should contain the rationale needed for stadium construction, land description, Google map etc. He said that special care should be taken while selecting the site that the selected site should be near the college/school, so that the stadium can be fully utilized.
The CM directed to expedite the construction of open stadium in GLA College Medininagar, construction of indoor stadium in Poraiyahat of Godda, construction of block level stadium in Masalia, construction of stadium in A team ground in Dumka, construction of block level stadium in Dumaria block, construction of Maidabandh in Chakulia block of East Singhbhum, construction of Jamshedpur in Jamshedpur.
The sports department has been directed to complete construction of football stadiums at Lava in Sarjamda and Patmada, gallery expansion and other works of Sido-Kanhu stadium in Sahibganj and construction of outdoor stadium at Rajmahal.
